Food on the Fly

12.jpgAfter its FEMA-funded $17 million renovation, the New Orleans Lakefront Airport is calling for proposals from prospective food vendors that might want to set up shop in the airport, a former marvel of 1930s architecture. According to the LRA's blog, the Non-Flood Protection Asset Management Authority "is seeking proposals for the lease of the restaurant facilities" at the freshly-renovated airport, the goal being to maximize use of the space by striking a lease agreement with "an experienced restaurant group" for exclusive use of the Walnut Room, the Bar, and the Café.
