Can you smell the whole fish roasting on an open fire? Yes, the day is finally here. Peche, the new pitmaster dreamland/seafood mecca? inspired by Donald Link, Stephen Stryjewski, and Ryan Prewitt's trips to Uruguay and Spain, where the chef trio fell in love with the sexy asado/wood fire way of cooking? is now open for lunch and dinner in the Warehouse District. Located in an historical building? Jefferson Davis was actually embalmed here, strangely enough? the restaurant features a massive wood fire grill custom-built by Link's cousin D-wayne Link. The menu features snacks, small plates, and entrees, plus options from the raw bar and larger menu items "for the table." There are a few meatier dishes, but the theme here is quality local seafood that you know is going to rock your world. As of right now, reservations are strongly recommended.
