Peanut butter doesn't seem a likely choice for a burger topping, but lots of New Orleans folks seem down with it. Yo Mama's peanut butter and bacon burger is legendary. The masterminds over at Boo Koo BBQ in Finn McCnools also do a peanut butter and habanero pepper jelly burger with a fried egg and bacon, and Bayou Burger offers The Peanut, with two burger patties, bacon, a honey peanut butter spread, green tomatoes, and a berry spread on toasted pumpernickel.
