After acquiring their neighboring vacant building last year, Galatoire's has quickly turned renovations into a glitzy new restaurant on Bourbon Street, Galatoire's 33 Bar & Steak. Unlike the grand dame, the new steakhouse accepts and encourages reservations. Galatoire's chef Michael Sichel is also heading up the kitchen at the 33 Bar & Steak, offering classic filet mignon/wedge salad type fare with some New Orleans flare (ie. remoulade and ersters). The restaurant's look has sort of a good ole boy swag with vintage maps hanging amid the dark green/gold/chocolate color scheme, wood floors and wood-beamed ceilings, leather seating, and iron and crystal chandeliers.
Bar Hours: Opens at 11 a.m., seven days a week.
Dining room hours: Sunday-Thursday, 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday. 5 to 11 p.m. Also open for lunch on Fridays at 11 a.m.
