A Look Inside Galatoire's Bar, Now Open on Bourbon

This is what Galatoire's Bar looks like. The newly renovated space is next door to the original Galatoire's in a building (215 Bourbon) that was acquired by the restaurant back in August 2012 much to feather-ruffling of their regulars. The building also houses a wood-paneled wine room on the third floor, additional private dining on the second floor. Also, there's a restaurant (rumor is a steakhouse) planning to open on the first floor behind the bar (check the fourth photo)? no word on the projected opening date yet, but the space is already rocking crystal chandeliers, wood-beamed ceilings, Galatoire's signature mirrored walls, and historic maps of Louisiana.
