Fair Ground's Infield Fest; Crawfish Shortage for Easter

MID CITY? This Saturday, March 30, The Fair Grounds Race Course the inaugural Infield Festival during the 100th running of the Louisiana Derby, reports Chris Waddington. There will be 17 food trucks on teh infield and live performances from Cowboy Mouth and Flow Tribe. Gates open at 10:30, tix are $25. [NOLA.com]

NOLA? NoDef reports that the unseasonably cold weather has caused a crawfish shortage for this Easter weekend. "I would suggest them ordering crawfish early for this weekend," says Big Fisherman owner Henry Poynot. "I think most people are going to stop taking orders and eventually sell out." [NOLADefender]
