On March 13, the first annual Vendy Awards, the so called Oscars of street food started by nonprofit the Street Vendor Project, will hit the French Market to benefit the NOLA Food Truck Coalition and Slow Food NOLA. It's sure to be a tasty time, but in classic crazy celebratory fashion the first ever Brooklyn Brewery Mash will arrive in town at the same time, hosting ahuge food and booze filled week of events that benefit Slow Foods as well. Basically, from March 13-16, New Orleans will have a lot of dining and drinking events going on, so here's the low down.
