The Eater Young Guns 2013 submissions have only been open for a week, and Eater's already got 930 potential candidates ... but that's not enough for our ever insatiable search so keep sending those nominations in. The aim of Young Guns, which launched last year with the inaugural 16-person class, is to identify the most promising up-and-comers in the restaurant and nightlife world, whether they're working as chefs or line cooks, sommeliers or bartenders, restaurateurs or maître d's.
Here's the deal: Nominees must be under 30 years of age (or have worked in their chosen field for less than five years) and must be currently employed in the hospitality industry in the United States. So what if nobody has ever heard of them? They just have to show extraordinary promise.
We're asking for your nominations right here, and you've got until March 15th to tell us who you think should be in this year's class of Young Guns. If you have additional supporting materials, please send them our way at youngguns@eater.com.
