Forget about that miserable Mardi Gras hangover for a minute, and check out the inside of Wayfare. The brand new home of "handcrafted food and spirits"? owned by Ray and Vincent Arnona, with Galatoires/Borgne alum Chef Kevin White heading up the kitchen? is now officially open in the former Freret Street Boxing Gym, and from the renovations you'd never be able to tell this was once the site of Friday Night Fights. The menu features a porchetta sandwich "made with fatty pork belly and salsa verde on a toasted hoagie roll and there's an Italian sausage sandwich with fried egg on ciabatta," Ian McNulty writes today. "The spacious dining room is finished with recycled lumber and found objects, and the full bar has local drafts."
