Maurepas Foods Does Brunch, Beer in Review, More

BYWATER— Maurepas Foods is shaking things up in the New Year. This is their last week of lunch (last lunch is on NYE). Starting January 4, the Bywater hotspot will roll out weekend brunch (and a new menu) from 10 a.m. to 3p.m., and they'll stay open for dinner until midnight. The restaurant will also only open at 5p.m. on weekdays. Check them out online right here.

NORTH SHORE— The Times-Pic reports that Mandeville's hangout N'Tini's (2891 Hwy. 190) will have a special Motown Night will tomorrow, December 27, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in case you're staying on the North Shore and need to send your parents somewhere, so you can have some peace and quiet while finishing off the nog leftovers and falling asleep on a Snowman bathmat. NOLA— Beer whisperer Nora McGunnigle offers her Beer Year in Review this week, noting that "both supply and demand for craft beer in Louisiana made huge strides."
