The final season of Treme premiered last night with Janette Desautel (Kim Dickens) opening yet another restaurant, this time in the Bywater (in the real-life forthcoming Oxalis space). In the episode, Desautel is also haunted by a Street Car advertisement for her failed attempt at corporate-Desautel's, and she visits with an especially awkward Aaron Burgau at Patois, which plot-wise would have opened in the former Desautel's space Uptown. Meanwhile The New York Time's reports the restaurant-themed storyline this season "has a rueful charm, helped immensely by the lack of atrocious cameo appearances by celebrity chefs." [NYT]
