CBD— That there is a picture of Phil De Gruy standing in the middle of his upcoming Phil's Grill in the CBD, set to open mid-December at 748 Camp Street. The restaurant will specialize in burgers and milkshakes, and will also have a bar. Phil's Grill already has locations in Harahan and Metairie, check them out online. [Eaterwire]

GARDEN DISTRICT— Laura McKnight reports that The Avenue Pub will host their annual 'Black Friday ritual,' tapping into "several years' worth of holiday beers by Anchor Brewing" at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 29. [NOLA.com]

NOLA— Beer whisperer Laura McGunnigle reports that two "well-respected and established breweries will soon be selling their beers in Louisiana." The Bruery (from The OC in Cali) will bring six beers to the market by mid-December, and Georgia-based Terrapin Brewing, will launch some brews come mid-January. [Gambit]
