Check out this hilarious video of Isaac Toups, the "born and raised/born and braised" true Cajun chef of his eponymous meatery, cooking up some dirty rice. Toups joins food/culture blog Tasting Table the video was actually shot by Todd Coleman, former Saveur food editor in the kitchen to show the world what it really takes to be "as Cajun as you can get." Toups happens to sing, dance ("do a little shake"), drink a beer, and "keep that spoon movin" while making his dirty rice recipe, which was passed down from his grandmother on his mother's side and can be found on the menu over at Toups' Meatery.
Tasting Table also has some choice non-video coverage of Toups as well, including pictures of his wife/Toups Meatery co-owner Amanda Toups, pictures of his ancestors, and the best interview quote of 2013: "Have another beer while you're cookin'. Take your clothes off. When I'm on vacation I cook naked and drunk."
