Arena's Best Food Options, Holiday Chef Demos, More

CBD— Brett Anderson previews the food options at the newly revamped New Orleans Arena (John Besh consulted on the menu upgrades), and if you're heading to watch the Pelicans, he advises "you to start looking" at Cajun Corner, Geaux Mac, Three Point Grill, and Sake Cafe— among others— as legit options for feasting during the game. QUARTER— Gambit food scribe Scott Gold reports that chefs demos will be happening in the French Market all December long (well, Dec 3-20 anyway) as part of aChristmas New Orleans Style promotion. Expect demos from Frank Brigtsen, cheftestapants Michael Sichel, Greg Sonnier and many more. [Gambit]

Price takes a closer look at newly opened Mr. Ed's Oyster Bar & Fish House, which took over former neighborhood icon Bozo's: "Some things remained the same, but some have changed.The menu at Mr. Ed's still includes the favorites from Bozo's...The kitchen, however, now also turns out a lengthy list of seafood dishes that move beyond Bozo's basic fare."
