The developers of the Riverwalk outlet mall revamp have just given a first walk-through to a few lucky media-types, and The Advocate's Jacquetta White has the low down on upcoming stores, and a rather notable restaurant addition: Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill will take up a space in the building, which is already about 94% leased and should be fully revamped come Summer 2014. Yes, it's a restaurant inspired by the country music superstar's only song that isn't about putting a boot up your ass. Eater heard rumors earlier this year that the restaurant was planning to move into the Riverwalk— which The Hughes Corp. purchased from bankruptcy in 2011— and now everyone can apply a celebratory tobacco dip to their bottom lip and start bedazzling Keith's beauteous worm-eating face onto their jean leggings in time for a 2014 opening.

Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill— forever more referred to as TKILTB&G T-KILT— will be in the same outlet mall as a 16,000 square foot Last Call by Neiman Marcus, an "off-price version of the high-end retailer Neiman Marcus." Translation: If you want to eat bologna sandwiches, drink mezcal backwarsh from a mason jar, and go line dancing in some freshly marked-down Manolo Blahniks, you can do so. Regionally, a T-KILT opened last year in Dallas, so check out this Eater Inside if you'd like a taste of what's to come. A couple things to expect already, via the official T-KILT website: The staff is apparently comprised of "whiskey girls," there are "redneck loveseats" for settin', there is usually a live-music line up, and the place is packed with Toby Keith memorabilia (ie. first mullet-cutting gathered in discarded Sonic cup).

As for other food and beverage additions, The Riverwalk is laying claim to mostly mall-centric fare like Auntie Anne's pretzels and Haagen Daas, plus Louisiana-based Cafe du Monde and Raising Canes. The previously rumored coming attraction/chain Texas De Brazil doesn't appear to have signed on after all.
