Shmaltz Brews, Turkey Day Dining, More on Doris Metropolitan

LGD— Starting December 6, Emeril's Delmonico will be open for lunch on Fridays only, right on through into 2014. The restaurant will debut new lunch menu items, drink specials and a three-course menu option as well. Check them out online right here. [Eaterwire]

GARDEN DISTRICT— Ralph Brennan is teaming up with the New Orleans Opera Guild Home for a new catering experience. Ralph Brennan's Catering & Events Director/chef Steven Marsella, and pastry chef Brett Gautheir, will now be in charge of creating menus to be served at the mansion for weddings, receptions, cocktail parties, dinners, and more events. QUARTER— NoDef's M.D. Dupuy journeys to international steakhouse Doris Metropolitan (620 Chartres) this week. As well as an in-house butcher shop (so you can take cuts to go), the restaurant also boasts "a walk-in cooler where Chia and Eli dry-age their own meat, which is displayed on pedestals" and "a courtyard open with their own herb garden."
