Laurel Street Bakery brought its muffins and croissants to Broadmoor this morning at 7 am sharp when it celebrated the opening of its new location at the corner of Washington and Broad. Owner Hillary Guttman says the bakery will be satisfyingly nostalgic, harkening back to an era in New Orleans when every neighborhood had its own bakery, which just further proves that the city really does seem to be in the middle of a baking renaissance.
