Oktoberfest at Croquette; Top Chef Viewing Party

New, 1 comment

GARDEN DISTRICT?Between Coquette's new curing room, herb garden, and Oktoberfest dinner series, fall is proving to be a pretty busy season for Chef Michael Stotltzfus. On Oct. 29th, Stotltzfus and Coquette will host an Oktoberfest dinner featuring a dessert bar concocted by pastry chef Zak Miller, as well as steady pours of three German craft beers and "exceptional Reislings." Lederhosen optional. [EaterWire]

FRENCH QUARTER?You're quickly running out of calendar time to fulfill your New Year's resolution to learn ALL you could about vermouth in 2013. We know how it goes. Luckily, there's still a little bit of time to attend bar wiz Kirk Estopinal's all-things-vermouth seminar tonight at 5:00 pm at SoBou. Tickets for Mixology Night are $35, and attendees can expect some tasty snacks and cocktails. [EaterWire]

FRENCH QUARTER?That chill in the air today is a signal from the netherworld that it's almost Halloween, which means that tickets for the Cabildo's Ghostly Galavant Weekend (Oct. 25-27) have gone on sale for $35 a piece. Restaurants and caterers like Capedebosq, Tableau, Redemption, and Kingfish will all be providing food during a costume party on Oct. 25 from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Be there or don't be Jackson Square. CBD?Cafe Adelaide will host its next Top Chef viewing party this Wednesday at 8:30 pm. Get there early so you can elbow everyone out of the way for a good seat. [Twitter]
