Hillary Dixler heads to the Sazerac Bar? the Sazerac cocktail has a rich history here reaching back to the 1930s? where mixologist and resident cocktail historian Russ Bergeron helps explain the five elements that make up this iconic drink.

Head over to Eater National to learn more about the essential elements of the legendary Sazerac: the whiskey, the bitters, the sugar, the Herbsaint, the assembly. And this, per Bergeron: "There should be pronounced lemon on your nose as you sip the drink."
