Spirits On Bourbon: Apparently Bar Rescue Worked

Remember when that crappy Bourbon Street bar nobody ever went to, Turtle Bay, was transformed into Spirits on Bourbon by Spike TV's Bar Rescue show? Well, Will Coviello reports that the revamped home of radio-active lookin' tourist drank, The Resurrection, has seen so much business since their TV debut in early 2013, they've doubled their revenue, and hired somebody to handle online marketing because they get about 8,000 website hits whenever the episode re-airs. Not too mention they have a crazy draw for Saints games.

Apparently Bar Rescue host Jon Taffer has also become something of a father figure to co-owner Brad Bohannan and team.?"He calls every month," Bohannan tells Coviello. "You become like his kid." Now that he's in the fam, Bohannan will appear on a special Hurricane Sandy episode of Bar Rescue this Saturday, October 26, at 9 p.m. The episode will feature the Bungalow Bar in Rockaway Beach, New York, which was severely damaged by Sandy, and, Coviello writes: "The rescue is about helping it recover and, in a nod to a city familiar with hurricane damage, Taffer invited Bohannan to help."
