Smedley OUT at Borracho, Seeking New Pidgin Location

Shocking news from the Marigny, with Todd A. Price reporting that Chris Smedley is now OUT at Borracho, the Kajun's Pub pop up he launched and popularized. Smedley, a Rambla alum, opened the charcuterie-centric pop up earlier this year and has built a cult following, allowing him to branch out with his planned highly-anticipated restaurant Pidgin due to open by the end of the year. However, Pidgin was to be located adjacent to Kajun's Pub, in a building that will now become a larger Borracho, sans Smedley.

Smedley is now looking at potential Marigny locations (and investors) for Pidgin, and he will still do a preview dinner with Dinner Lab on November 5. Meanwhile, We've Got Soul will be popping up in Kajun's every Thursday starting this week, October 24.
