Tweet Your Hot Spots; New Orleans' 'Caloric Fun Fest'

ORLEANS PARISH? Mayor Landrieu is asking locals to tweet their favorite hot spots? ie. Bourbon Street, Bourbon Street, Bourbon Street? using the hashtag #BestOfNOLA, according to The Advocate. Super Bowl visitors can follow the hash tag all week long. [Advocate]

ABITA SPRINGS? Abita will replace their Red Ale with a new seasonal, the Spring IPA, in March, reports NoDef. The IPA has a 6.25 percent ABV, and apparently pairs well with spicy food. [NolaDefender]

NEW ORLEANS? Susan Langenhennig at the Times-Pic has a smallish round-up of how other cities' news publications view our food, since everybody and their brother is in town for the Super Bowl... in case you need to hear a po' boy described as a "caloric fun fest." [NOLA.com]

ORLEANS PARISH? Not that you'll be able to try any of these until after the Super Bowl crowds have left, but Ian McNulty recommends Five Rabbit Dishes you should seek out at Borgne, Cochon, Brigtsens, New Orleans Food & Spirits, and Patois. [Gambit]
