Stop what you're doing right now: New Orleans' burger king Adam Biderman has teamed up with the Cure Co. cocktailians over at Perestroika at Pravda, and is opening the doors to the bar's brand new kitchen, like, tonight. Biderman and P@P's main man, Nick Detrich, who used to do a tiki night at Company Burger, will host a soft opening this evening, and the kitchen opens for real tomorrow.
"We're stoked," Nick Detrich, told Eater today, while preparing for their Super Bowl Mardi Gras onslaught. He waited to disclose the news of their opening until the very last minute because "it took us this long to get the kitchen open. We wanted to make sure we could really open." Biderman's menu is definitely a change from Company Burger, leaning towards the finer side of bar foods with an emphasis on mad kitchen skills and fresh local ingredients: brisket, latkes, matza ball soup, and sauteed freshwater trout (with bacon lardon) all make an appearance. While there are some obvious Slavic elements, the menu will likely change as the bar progresses into a rum-centric den of awesomeness sometime in May.
Hours: Wed-Thurs 5:30-11:30 p.m., Fri-Sat 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
