Ma Momma's House, Voodoo BBQ Openings; NOLA Wings

NEW ORLEANS EAST? 1990's Bounce impresario Earl J. Mackie is opening Ma Momma's House of Cornbread, Chicken and Waffles on February 1, 741 Crowder Blvd. He previously owned Big Momma's Chicken & Waffles, which operated in the same location for three years and was featured on an episode of The Food Network's Health Inspectors. HARVEY? VooDoo BBQ and Grill is opening a Westbank location in the Fountain Park Center (1901 Manhattan Blvd) in early February. The opening coincides with the Franchise's eleventh anniversary. [Eaterwire]

QUARTER? Emeril's NOLA restaurant makes Food & Wine's Best Chicken Wings in the U.S. list this week: "Miss Hay's Stuffed Chicken Wings...are stuffed with a mixture of ground pork, chopped shrimp, mushrooms, onions, celery, cilantro and fish sauce. After they're baked, they're dredged in flour and fried in peanut oil in a wok, then served with a garlicky homemade hoisin dipping sauce and jalapeños." [Food&Wine]
