West Bank Vietnamese favorite, Tan Dinh, is spreading the love to the East Bank with a new restaurant in Uptown. Susan Langenhennig reports that the Tan Dinh Facebook page just made it official, Ba Chi Canteen will be moving in at 7900 Maple Street.

An Eater tipster also reveals that "the son/daughter-in-law (or maybe it's the other way around) of the owners of Tan Dinh (they actually do the day-to-day running of it? Phat at the cash register and his wife waits tables) bought the old Figaro's space across from Satsuma Maple." They hope to open in March, featuring a menu very similar to Tan Dinh's, though perhaps with the addition of 'fusion' dishes.

Tan Dinh is not just another pho and banh mi restaurant, but also has an eclectic menu including lots of goat dishes. They're also much-loved by local food scenesters for service industry nights (Company Burger's Adam Biderman tells Eater he's a big fan.)
