The Advocate gets cray this week, reporting that the change in weather means there will be a plentiful supply of crawfish for Carnival. Apparently the rainy weather earlier this month was troublesome for crawfish farmers, who saw their ponds flooding and mudbugs swimming out, but good for the Atchafalaya Basin, the source of wild-caught crawfish. Local prices seem to be hovering around $4/lb boiled and $3/lb live. [Advocate]
