Just when you thought Freret Street couldn't get any hotter, Publiq House officially opened it doors on New Year's Eve with a crazy LSU game party? um, yeah the bar and music club has eight televisions and a big screen too. Owner Rhett Briggs pointed out evidence of a raging opening night ie. purple and yellow balloons all over the floor? when Eater stopped by Publiq House today to verify that they're open. The sprawling bar has a hefty beer selection and a menu of craft cocktails, including beer cocktails. There's no kitchen or food menu, because Publiq House is showing some love for NOLA food trucks, with a parking lot ready to host a dang feeding frenzy. Frencheeze has already expressed their impending devotion to the new club, which looks to be a major gamechanger for New Orleans' nightlife offerings, once the live music starts rockin' and the food trucks come a knockin'.
