Coulis Getting 'Cash Mobbed' to Help with Storm Damage

New, 1 comment

Hurricane Isaac tore a large hole in the roof of Uptown breakfast and brunch haven, Coulis. The restaurant is holding a "cash mob" next Tuesday, September 11, from 7am-2pm to help pay for the repairs and days of no business. Diners are encouraged to spend about $20 cash at the restaurant, located at 3625 Prytania, in an effort to help them recover.

Heather and James Leeming opened Coulis in 2009, in the space formerly held by the popular Bluebird Cafe. In June of 2011, Chef James Leeming unexpectedly passed away, leaving Heather to run the restaurant by herself, while caring for their young son. She's hoping the Cash Mob will help offset the unexpected cost of the storm damage, and keep the restaurant up and running. Find the full menu here, or call the restaurant at (504) 304-4265 for more information.
