Reginelli's State Street neighbors gathered at an Audobon-Riverside Neighborhood Association meeting Tuesday night to give the pizzeria an enthusiastic thumbs-up for its eventual move across the street into what used to be a WOW Wingery. The Uptown Messenger reports that area residents were especially pleased about the fact that Reginelli's will be moving to a location that has its own parking lot, which will hopefully ease the crowded on-street parking situation around the corner of State and Magazine.
Residents were also happy about the conditions of Reginelli's alcohol license at its new location. Reginelli's will serve alcohol in a sit-down context, sans the bar that used to sit in the front of WOW. As a result of the move, the new location will become a "negative-one alcohol outlet," according to Darryl Reginelli, meaning that when the location ceases operating as Reginelli's, it will forfeit its permission to sell booze. And, at least among neighbors of Reginelli's, there was much rejoicing.
