And just like that, there's finally a new restaurant in the former Bacco space. SoBou, the boozy eatery from the Commander's Palace team, opened this morning. Juan Carlos Gonzalez runs the kitchen, after spending time most recently at Commander's cousin in Houston, Bistro Alex. Gonzalez developed the "Creole, Cajun and southern-inspired" menu with Commander's chef Tory McPhail, who's on board as the consulting chef. The team refers to it as a "Creole saloon," with the focus very much on the drinks. Abigail Gullo and Café Adelaide's Lu Brow developed the cocktail menu, and there's also a beer garden and self-serve wine machines.
Hours: Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
