Saveur Seeking is a blog and webseries by Austin-based Neil Ferguson. He was in New Orleans this past Mardi Gras, bringing the cameras for a surprisingly in-depth (read: kinda long) look at the city's food culture. Ferguson hits Ignatius Eatery (which moved down the street after Mardi Gras), caught a show at d.b.a. and visits pop up artists Streats McGee at Café Rani and Pete Vazquez at Stein's Deli, talking about the difference between Austin's love for food trucks and New Orleans' parallel version of guerrilla cooking. Also: crawfish and beer at NOLA Brewing.
And for those who don't have time for the (so worth it) full 12 minute video, they've split the highlights in twain, with Ignatius and d.b.a here and the rest over here.
