The Bartender and Waiters Race is exactly what it sounds like: a race "open to all bartenders and waiters working in Orleans Parish bars and restaurants." Bartenders compete carrying Herbsaint cocktails, while waiters face off against each other carrying pastries from Chez Pierre Bakery.
The awesomeness is happening next Sunday, June 15, though the deadline to register is July 10. The bartenders racing at 4 p.m. and the waiters at 4:15. Free to enter, with the first place racers getting $150. Second place gets $100, third gets $50.
