Gobbling Up Hubig's, Crepes in the Afternoon

NOLA After this morning's fire that leveled the pie-making facility in the Marigny, the ever-popular Hubig's Pies quickly sold out across town. The Mid City Rouse's was out before 8 a.m., and Terranova's grocery store sold out within 15 minutes. [EaterWire, FSJNA]

NOLA Meanwhile, 100% of the proceeds from "any pie-related shirt" at Fun Rock'n and Pop City on Magazine Street will go to the Hubig's rebuilding. [Gambit]

HAPPY HOURS?Uptown crepe shop La Crêpe Nanou is launching an "afternoon parlor" happy hour on Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m., with "bubbles, bites and booze" specials. [EaterWire]

COMING ATTRACTIONS?As part of the 2012 Times-Pic bar guide, Todd Price talks to a number of bartenders who recently moved here. These include tiki man Jeff "Beachbum" Barry, who says he's planning to open a bar. "[L]et me just say this: There will be rum. We’re trying to come up with something a little skewed.
