Magazine Street restaurant Nacho Mama's called it quits a couple months ago, and now that space is set to become a new location of the local Mediterranean chain Byblos. According to CityBusiness, the Byblos team have leased the building from its new owners and began construction on the new restaurant last week. (Subscription required.) Meanwhile, the current Magazine Street location of Byblos will become an "upscale casual" taqueria.
Eater also learns that the Byblos owners recently purchased the building that housed Rocky's Pizza until recently. (They also own Salu on the other side of Rocky's Pizza.) No word on what sort of concept will go in that space. The new Byblos should open in October.
