The place has a name: Dickie Brennan's restaurant at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carré will be called Tableaux. Writes CityBusiness' Richard A. Webster:
Tableau (sic), a French Creole restaurant that Brennan will open adjacent to the theater on Chartres Street, is expected to open in early December. The first floor main dining room will seat 75 people and private dining rooms on the second and third floor will accommodate groups between 20 and 80 guests. This is one of the mostly bland options suggested last summer when the sale was approved by the theater's board. Still no word on the composition of the culinary team at the new restaurant located just off Jackson Square.
Dickie Brennan's group purchased about 60% of the historic theater building for $3 million, which will allow Le Petit Theater to actually have a 2013 season.
