This June marks the second annual version of the Eat Local Challenge, wherein the group NOLA Locavores gets people to pledge to eat food produced within 200 miles of New Orleans throughout the whole month. That's not an easy task, and as Judy Walker from the Times-Pic notes, one of the biggest hurdles to actually eating locally comes in dining out. This year, the challenge organizers are trying to make that part easier:

This year, Locavore Challenge organizers have commitments from 20 local restaurants to offer at least one menu item that's all locally sourced. Some of the restaurants on the list include Three Muses, Sylvain, Root, Iris, Ancora, Ye Old College Inn, some of the Besh restaurants, High Hat Cafe and Ancora, Cafe Hope, Cafe Reconcile, La Cocinita food truck and Green Goddess.
The challenge starts tomorrow, so there's still a little time left to sign up.
