Anyone tried getting a reservation at Cochon this week? It's kind of tough to get a spot there at a normal dinner time, what with all the Jazz Festers in town. Luckily, Donald Link and company are opening up their event space Calcasieu to the public on Friday and Saturday nights. The space, lit'rally above Cochon, will be open starting at 6 p.m. both nights, for groups of 8 or more. They're serving the Cajun tasting menu that they use for special events. And in other Calcasieu news, the space is hosting a five course tasting dinner the night of May 15, with each course paired with a different Crispin Cider. The menu's available online, and call that same number for reservations.
