The Country Club Expands Bar, Gets New Chef

Bywater pool house, restaurant and bar The Country Club has updated the look of its bar while adding a smaller, more intimate champagne room. As NOLA Defender's Shay Sokol reports, the new bar is a "20x30-foot square walkaround bar with dark granite countertops" with three televisions hanging overhead. They retained and touched up the original molding and expanded the room.

The Country Club hasn’t only expanded architecturally. Last Sunday, under the new chef Mary Jane Rosas, the Country Club pumped out its biggest drag brunch in history. The event will be held on the third Sunday of every month, and feature $10 bottomless Mimosas, the Club's weekend brunch menu and, of course, fabulousness, from 11 a.m. - 3 a.m.
