This is too bad, but not entirely unexpected: Eater hears word that Criollo, the new restaurant inside the Hotel Monteleone, will not be opening on time. Chef Joe Maynard's "Louisiana Fusion" concept was supposed to open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service next Wednesday, but the opening has been pushed back to June. The restaurant will be doing breakfast starting next week, but lunch and dinner service will have to wait.
With this opening delayed by at least a couple weeks, June is going to be a serrrriously busy month for openings. Restaurant R'evolution, SoBou and Dreamy Weenies are all scheduled to open next month.
