Hollygrove Bar Shut Down After Years of Violence

That's one less bar for Hollygrove, but it seems doubtful anyone will actually mind. Big Time Tips, the bar shut down after an incredibly huge raid back in February, will never, ever be a bar again. Uptown Messenger reports that a city panel has permanently revoked the bar's liquor license. The uptown website's Robert Morris describes the bar as having "been the site of repeated bloodshed over the years," most recently a murder in December.

Have to feel for the owner, Deloris Adams, however. Morris adds: "Neighborhood residents and activists largely expressed high personal opinions of Adams, but said the bar is largely out of her control."
