American Craft Beer Week Brings Beer, Beer and More Beer All Around Town

It's American Craft Beer Week, y'all. Obviously given the name, this is a national thing, running from May 14-20 in cities across the country. As has been the case for the Craft Beer Week in years past, the city is practically overrun with beer-related events.

The epicenter of all these events is the Avenue Pub, which hosts events every day, culminating with the Regional Breweries Night on Friday, the Grand Tasting on Saturday, and a brunch and crawfish boil hosted by St. Arnold's on Sunday. Other stuff going on this week includes a "Meet the Future Brewers of Louisiana" session at the Bulldog in Mid City tomorrow night and a talk on beer cocktails at the Old New Orleans Rum distillery, featuring Sylvain's Liam Deegan. But pretty much, there's a beer-related event every night this week to meet just about any beer-drinking or -learning desire.
