In the wake of the New York City Craigslist ad unearthed yesterday, a representative from Restaurant R'evolution sent this note:
Yes, R’evolution is indeed hiring for numerous FOH and BOH positions, and they have posted in Houston, Chicago, New York and Atlanta. The goal is to reach out to those who may have ended up in other states after Katrina and are now looking to come back to Louisiana. There is always the chance that this is more for publicity/PR than a campaign that will actually bring a substantial number of people back, but hey, at least for now it seems really pretty awesome. (And a search through each of those cities' Craigslists shows that the same ad has been posted in each one, so there's that.)
In the same email, the rep mentioned the restaurant's construction: "Construction is moving along well, but we’re still too far out to announce a firm/final date." They "hope to have a better idea in the next couple of weeks." So the best anyone knows at this point is still late May-ish.
