The last time Restaurant R'evolution's hiring practices came up, the forthcoming restaurant by John Folse and Rick Tramonto was advertising its jobs in the Manhattan Craigslist, which just seemed kinda weird. Well, they've updated the job ad and it's now much less confusing. And also much more awesome. It's looking a lot like they're using that job ad to target restaurant workers who evacuated for Katrina (without using the "K" word itself) and have thus far been unable to get back. If that's the case, then a big, ol' hell yeah.
The job ad's header says, excitedly, "Restaurant R'evolution is looking to bring Louisianans back home!" The previous one just read "Restaurant R'evolution - New Orleans." The ad itself says that the restaurant is hiring "all" front- and back-of-house positions, followed by: "If you are interested in coming back home to Louisiana and becoming part of a R'evolutionary Team, please respond to this posting."
If this is a genuine attempt to reach out to people who left because of Katrina and the federal floods, then kudos to Folse and Tramonto and the team from R'evolution. Eater has reached out to representatives from the restaurant to get more information on this.
And in an unrelated note, how's construction going on the oft-delayed restaurant? Well, it's going.
