Chef Roger Feely's popular Soul Cocina is spending Monday night in New Orleans with a pop up at Baru Bistro & Tapas. Feely is a chef and cooking instructor who uses his fairly traditional culinary backgroun?Johnson & Wales graduate, time spent in kitchens in Charleston, San Francisco and elsewhere?to run pop ups and street food events in the Bay Area and Chicago.
Monday night's event is a Mexican feast with options for both vegans and omnivores. Meat-eaters will get to try the rabbit confit or housemade green chorizo. Also, for what it's worth, there will be ramps, an item that creates a hell of a lot more excitement in other cities. The full menu is over on the Facebook event page. The pop up is Monday, April 30, from 7-10 p.m.
