CRAFT BOOZE? The Beer Buddha is on his game this week, with the news of the St Arnold New Orleans Super Weekend, happening May 18-20. The "Super Weekend" includes three days of events, starting with a beer dinner at the Irish House (pictured at right) on Friday and concluding with the NOLA Pie Guy and crawfish at Avenue Pub on Sunday. SPORTS AND FOOD? The new owner of the New Orleans Hornets, Tom Benson, is on the hunt for a new name for the NBA team, and one Times-Pic reader suggests several food-inspired names, including the New Orleans Jam, short for Jambalaya. [TP]
EVENT PLANNING? The University of New Orleans has a new festival, called the Crawfish Mambo, an all-day music fest with all-you-can-eat crawfish and a boil contest. (There's still plenty of time to register a team for the boil contest.) It's May 12 from 11-7, and tickets are only $15. [EaterWire]
