So Navy Week ends today, with the big boats and the sailing men and sailing women leaving port. Sad face. On Friday, the Navy Week organizers paired a bunch of the ships' culinary specialists with local restaurant chefs for a Louisiana Seafood cook off. And the winner? Solrosita De Perio, chef of the USS Wasp, who teamed up with Johnny Blancher of Ye Olde College Inn. Honorable mention went to Team France, with the chef from the French frigate Germinal paired with Rene Bajeux.
