Janée Taylor is a 2011 graduate of Warren Easton High School and the culinary arts program at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts and is now in her first year at Johnson & Wales. She is also the winner of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation's "Dish that Makes a Difference" contest, which challenged NOCCA culinary arts students to create one really killer, seasonal, New Orleans dish. Taylor's winning dish was a Louisiana Surf and Turf with Grilled Ribeye, Seafood Mashed Potatoes and Cajun Crab-Boiled Asparagus.
Throughout the month of March, all of Sir Bams-a-Lot's restaurants in New Orleans, Vegas and Orlando?eight restaurants in total?will be serving Taylor's Louisiana Surf and Turf, with $5 from each dish sold going back to the Foundation. There's more on the Foundation's website over here.
