There's a whole lot of food-related events this weekend, including the Road Food Festival, which cooks off tonight with a radio show extravaganza with Poppy Tooker, Hogs for the Cause all day tomorrow, and the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival, featuring a smattering of food-related events throughout the weekend. But for those who can still walk and eat after all that, there's this: Adolfo Garcia's A Mano is hosting a filipino pop up this Sunday, from 6:30 to 9PM.
Called "A Taste of the Philippines," the pop up dinner is the brainchild of Cristina Quackenbush, who is turning the regional Italian restaurant into a filipino eatery with a 3 course dinner for $30. Booze isn't included, but A Mano chef Nicholas Martin's house-cured Longanisa is. Reservations are required so call 504-208-9280. [EaterWire]
