Heartbreak for Phillip Lopez! The Root chef/owner's Cinderella run through Eater National's competition to find the hottest chef in the country is over. New Orleans' Hottest Chef just couldn't keep up with DC's winner, John Critchley of Urbana. After over 4000 votes, Lopez lost 2,272 to 1,917. But hey, at least he made it that far. Congrats to Chef Lopez, and thanks for being such a good sport. UPDATE: Results are as-yet unofficial, as there are some fraudulent votes to weed out.
