Remember that unofficial True Blood cookbook that had regular Southern recipes with character names from the HBO series tacked on the front? Well now there's an actual, official one. As Eater National notes, "the book will feature a whole mess of officially official stuff from the show including 'photos from the show's four seasons, side stories, and authentic southern recipes for the local fare of the insatiable world of Bon Temps,'" the fictional Louisiana town that serves as the series' setting. The book is written by series creator Alan Ball, with assistance from co-writers Karen Sommer Shallett (talk about a perfectly food-punny name) and New Orleans' own Marcelle Bienvenu, who writes for the Times-Pic and co-wrote Cooking up a Storm with Judy Walker.
The cookbook is due to come out this fall. Eater National has more, including "a sexy press release."
